As an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) supplier, its precision-engineered components are integrated into all the world’s premier bicycle brands, highlighting unmatched quality and innovative drive.

Legacy and innovation for sustainable mobility
With complete in-house control over manufacturing, Miranda Bike Parts enables sustainability throughout every step: ever since the initial design phase, waste is minimized and raw material usage is optimized, while approximately 90% of energy consumption comes from self-produced green electricity. Furthermore, about 90% of Miranda’s waste is directed to recovery processes, including some in-house treatments in addition to collaborations with local partners.

Miranda’s commitment to the global agenda for a better future is evidenced through its involvement in 13 out of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – an effort reflecting a comprehensive approach to both business growth and societal progress. Moreover, since 2020 the Company also releases an ESG Sustainability report in line with international standards, reinforcing its commitment to transparency and sustainable practices.

Miranda Bike Parts is the only manufacturer in the cycling sector actively pursuing ASI (Aluminium Stewardship Initiative) and ResponsibleSteel™ certifications; three-quarters of the aluminium used is recycled showing the company’s commitment to the circular economy and resource efficiency.

70% of the supply chain is based in Portugal, minimizing carbon footprint while boosting local businesses. Moreover, in order to reduce emissions, Miranda was the first company in Portugal to introduce an automated fleet of 50 electric bicycles and offer employees easy access to them, aiming to reduce car usage for commuting.

From an R&D perspective, Miranda Bike Parts excels in innovation. Recognized by the European Patent Office as one of the top 5 Portuguese entities for European patent submissions, the company showcases a commitment to groundbreaking advancements through international expansion and consistent R&D investments.

Additionally, for the third year in a row, Miranda Bike Parts holds the “INOVADORA COTEC” status, a prestigious recognition awarded by COTEC, which champions innovation in Portugal. This recognition highlights its sustained excellence in innovative practices and positive impact on the economy and society.

Social responsibility and commitment to employee well-being is another strong suit for Miranda, which also supports a culture of sports among its collaborators: the company manages an in-house mountain bike team, which secured a victory in the World Championships in 2020 and stood on the podium in 2021 and 2022.
