Welfare Champion in Welfare Index PMI and nominated in the Community category of SME EnterPRIZE

Elettronica is a large high-tech company in Rome, developing electronic defence systems. It has been active on the market for more than 65 years both nationally and internationally.

The company, leading brand of the Group bearing the same name, remained open and operational even during the pandemic, strengthening initiatives to protect the health of its employees and reconciling family and work life.

Smart working, flexible hours, integration of health insurance, free tests, screening and a company app for contact tracing are among the tools implemented by the company during this period, accompanied by corporate welfare initiatives that had been already active for some time.

In fact, at the Elettronica headquarters, one can find an infirmary dedicated to the health of the employees, that has been present for years with the possibility of specialist visits and medical analysis on-site. There are also active projects that promote a healthy and sustainable diet and offer special menus in the company canteen, as well as a micro-market to meet all the firm’s dietary requirements.

The “Enjoy Life Time” flexible benefits programme, operational since 2014, is an online platform that provides employees with an “electronic wallet” for expenses involving goods and services.

The company’s internal desk offers several services such as concierge services, laundry, shoe repairing, tailoring, urgent purchases, on-site car washing and handling of paperwork, in addition to the telephone and online service “The Expert Answers” for tax and legal advice.

Through the Plaza project, the company’s work environment has been redeveloped in a smart way, with spaces for work and relaxation. Close attention has been paid to environmental sustainability, for example through the autonomous production of energy from renewable sources.

There is regular communication with universities and schools for the activation of internships, school-work alternation projects and scholarships to ensure equal opportunities in the Cybersecurity sector.

Professional training is consistent and structured, with a dedicated HR platform, a company Academy, conferences, a programme for the onboarding of new hires and an innovation award for employee projects.

There are also multiple Community Welfare plans: among them is the “Sustainable Tiburtina” project, which proposes sustainable mobility solutions for the benefit of the area’s inhabitants.

Elettronica is a company dedicated to the well-being of its employees. Massimo De Bari, People, Organization & Communication Director, underlines that “The wellbeing of employees is fundamental for work organization and, if it is nurtured and grows, the productivity of the company also increases. For us, enhancing human capital is essential: therefore, the doors of the top management offices are always open to proposals and requests from employees.”
